Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Blade Lift

Every once in awhile something comes along that shatters what you thought you understood about something. That happened to me when I was researching airfoils and lift in preparation of my building a vertical axis wind turbine. Apparently lift is not as thoroughly understood as I previously thought.
