A Letter From England
When I see the wonderful things people like Roger are doing it fills me with hope. Way to go, Roger! Here is his letter.
Hi Tom
I now fly a AIR-X on the 50 foot tower (the Hornet failed again!!) and I have converted the 2 panel array
to be dual tracking and I am about to add another 6/7 foot to the low tower to get a bit less turbulent
wind. I also have installed a Solar Boost 50 MPPT in the PV circuit (Expensive but seems quite effective 10/30% inrease in output and cheaper than commercial panels)
I am about to increase the battery bank from 560 amp hours to 1120 amp hours. We are getting close to being self suffcient on electrical power (Generator only ran about 250 hours in 12 months) and that caused mainly by lack of storage capacity. I have attached some photos.
